    Getting to Snowbird

    Located a mere 32 miles from Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC), Snowbird is among North America’s most accessible, world-class ski resorts. SLC is serviced by nine airlines with about 650 departures and arrivals daily from 89 non-stop U.S. cities, not to mention a slew of international cities.Once you’ve arrived in SLC you can opt for a resort shuttle or rent a car. Unless you plan on skiing at Salt Lake City resorts other than Snowbird and neighboring Alta, you really don’t need a rental car since Snowbird is self-contained and has everything you need right there.     Snowbird Directions

    If you do opt to rent a car, you’ll want to head west out of the airport toward Terminal Drive. Continue straight onto Terminal Drive. Take a slight right to stay on Terminal Drive. Take I-80 E ramp on the left to City Center/Ogden/Provo. Keep left at the fork, following signs for I-80 E. Merge onto I-80 E. Take exit 117 toward Provo. In about a mile, merge onto I-215 S. Drive for 15 miles. Then take exit 6 for UT-190 E toward 3000 E. Turn right onto UT-190 E/6200 S/Big Cottonwood Road S. Follow UT-190 E for nearly two miles. Continue onto S Wasatch Boulevard, driving for about two miles. Continue onto UT-210 S/N Little Cottonwood Road. Drive for about eight and a half miles. Take a slight right onto Alta by-Pass Road. The resort is on your right.
